Include your device model and Android version, and — if it's a bug — what you did just before it happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
Frequently asked
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new phone?
Install Cinder, open Settings → Subscription, and tapRestore purchases. As long as you're signed in to the same Google account that bought Pro, your entitlement comes back.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, not inside Cinder. Open theGoogle Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cinder, and tap Cancel subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
How do streaks and freezes work?
Your streak counts consecutive days you complete what's due. A freezeshields a single missed day so your streak survives. Pro users earn a freeze every 7 days; freezes never expire and stack up. You can also buy freeze packs. If auto-protect is on, a freeze is spent automatically on a missed day; you can undo it within a short window.
What's the difference between the progress ring and "X of Y done"?
They measure different things on purpose. The ring is weighted progress — a timed habit that's halfway there still moves it. "X of Y done" counts only habits that are fully complete. Both come from the same data and always agree with each other.
My widget isn't updating.
Widgets refresh shortly after you change something in the app. If one looks stale, open Cinder once, then remove and re-add the widget. Some Android launchers and battery-saver modes delay widget updates — allowing Cinder to run in the background helps.
Does Cinder work offline?
Completely. Cinder is local-first and needs no account, so it works with no connection at all. Optional cloud sync (a Pro feature) and purchases are the only parts that use the network; everything else runs offline.
How do I back up or move my data?
Open Settings → Data & Privacy → Export to save your habits and logs as JSON or CSV and share the file anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes all local data, so export first if you want to keep it.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstall Cinder — everything it stored on your device is removed. If you signed in and used cloud sync, you can also delete your account and all synced data: seeDelete your account. More detail is in thePrivacy Policy.
