Delete your account & data
Applies to Cinder accounts and cloud sync · See also the Privacy Policy.
You only have an account if you signed in. Cinder works fully offline and an account is optional. If you never signed in, there is nothing on our servers to delete — just uninstall the app to remove everything stored on your device.
Request account deletion
To permanently delete your Cinder account and all data synced to our cloud backend, emailsupport@cinderhabits.app from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account.” We verify the request comes from that address, then delete your account and its synced data within 30 days and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your account identity — email address, display name, and authentication records held by our sign-in provider.
- All habit data synced to the cloud — habits, completions and logged minutes, timer sessions, weekly-quota progress, and streak-freeze history.
What this does not affect
- Data on your device. Deleting your account does not touch the copy stored locally on your phone. To remove that, uninstall the app or useSettings → Data & Privacy. Export first (JSON or CSV) if you want to keep it.
- Google Play purchase records. Any subscription or purchase history held by Google Play is governed byGoogle's policies. Cancel a subscription from the Play Store before deleting your account if you no longer want it.
Prefer to stop syncing without deleting?
You don't have to delete your account to keep your data on-device only. Sign out, or cancel Cinder Pro, and new changes stay on your device — nothing further is uploaded. Your existing account and any already-synced data remain until you request deletion above.
